Artists Supplies

Artists supplies will of course vary depending on what type of art the artist most prefers. Generally, a lot of art can be divided into either two-dimensional or three-dimensional work. Of course, even within a particular emphasis, be it watercolor or ceramics, a creator will still have his or her own preferences.

2D artists supplies may be used for such activities as painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and graphic design. Supplies include paints, mixing mediums, graphite, inks, rulers, and scissors. Mixing these different mediums is just as aesthetically respected as becoming a master of one type.

Artists supplies for 3D creators will vary depending on focuses such as metals, woodworking, ceramics, or clay. Materials include different types of wood, metal, plastic, glass, and a variety of found objects. Working in three dimensions will also commonly involve more heavy duty tools such as power saws, drills, nail guns, metal cutters, and kilns.
